    Asian-American food-inspired writing event. Drawing from their East Asian culture’s culinary traditions, six writers read excerpts from their published work while responding to the current A2AC Gallery’s show titled We are here because you were there. This is a free event.

    This free one hour workshop in partnership with GrieveWell (non-profit in Ann Arbor) will consist of the following: brief breath meditation, what is poetry and how it can be a tool to be curious about our grief, guided poetry writing prompts, individual time to write a poem, and ending with reflections/questions/comments. No prior poetry experience necessary.

    Roots is a project curated by Andre Lee Basset. Some participating artists will be sharing their work through a reading, discuss their creative processes, and more. This is a free event.

    True self-care is living in your values through confidence, joy, and imperfections. Participants will be guided through writing prompts to reflect on their current self-care practices and discover a better way to take care of themselves that reflects more on who they are.
