speaking

I offer author visits as well as speaking engagements on topics of navigating change and finding/using your voice.

Let’s work together.

Thank you for considering me as your coach! I want you to know my values before we connect:

I believe in integrity: I will never share our work with anyone. The same level of confidentiality you would receive from a therapist, you can expect from me.

I believe in belonging: No matter your background, your past, or present, you belong as a human being. Period.

I believe in safety: Every person deserves emotional and psychological safety and I am committed in creating that space.

I believe in honoring identities: I am both Korean and American and I am my best self when I can show up genuinely as both. I believe in our identities.

I am an author coach.

I work with aspiring writers who are looking to take the next step in their writing life. Whether you are just starting to explore and need support in figuring out your writing ritual/schedule, or you are wanting to write a book, I am here to help you achieve your writing goals.

My coaching is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and non-judgment with tangible tools that work. My style is conversation driven with tools that combine both psychology and strategy - mind and action. My certification in Yoga Teacher Training (200 hours) and additional studies in Mindfulness and Breath Work allows me to take on a holistic, mindfulness approach. Also, I am trained in Cognitive Coaching, which provides me with greater tools in guiding my clients to think about their own thinking in a way that leads to clarity and direction.

If you’re interested, contact me for a free 20 minute consultation where we can discuss your current challenges, goals, and see if coaching is the right fit for you.

Kyunghee Kim Ann Arbor Coach

Both therapy and coaching work to help bring positive impact on people’s lives. But, it’s important to know the difference. While therapy may focus more on processing the past and may involve a diagnoses, coaching focuses on the present by helping people get “unstuck”, clarify goals, and help them take action. Both are valuable.

What is Coaching?

Why Work With A Coach?

I am driven by this work because of my personal experience with a coach. During the thick of the pandemic in 2020, I worked with a coach to help me gain confidence as a writer. My coach was a think-partner who helped to gather themes around my beliefs as a writer. I am now a published author and my first children’s book, See Us Bloom, comes out in April 2023. More importantly, I am a more confident person in other areas of my life as well.

Working with a coach is not about toxic positivity. Instead, a coach is someone who is rooting for you as you are and works alongside you to find success in all areas of your life.
